Quality Assurance Analyst

Calgary Scientific’s ResolutionMD® software product enables doctors to securely view patient images and reports from a wide variety of computer and mobile devices, collaborate with other practitioners and diagnose from any location. As a member of the Healthcare R&D team, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of manual and automated tests to validate product features. You will have significant impact on our overall strategy by helping define the direction of QA initiatives and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.

The ideal candidate will be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across a variety of disciplines. We are looking for critical thinkers who are self-motivated and have a flair for finding creative ways of solving hard problems. Candidates must have a demonstrable track record of success in delivering new features and products. Experience working in a cross-disciplinary team is a plus, as is the ability to iterate rapidly on design ideas, take feedback and act on it quickly.


  • Work as a member of our agile team to develop both manual and automated tests by analyzing user stories, acceptance criteria, participating in design reviews and collaborating with the Developers and Product Owners
  • Generate and update test plans that validate the implementation of features and use cases
  • Define acceptance criteria and estimates for testing effort
  • Participate in requirements reviews of new features, including generation of comprehensive test specifications
  • Review user documentation and help files for accuracy and readability
  • Champion the test effort for the team regarding all facets of quality assurance


  • BSc in related field or equivalent education/work experience
  • 8+ years of related industry experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on software testing experience


  • Preference will be given to candidates with strong experience in test automation
  • Sharp analytical and critical-thinking abilities
  • Strong sense of ownership, problem-solving efficiency, and drive
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in a development environment in driving operational excellence and best practices
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve goals in a highly innovative and collaborative environment
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor team members to improve/maintain software quality and processes
  • Experience working with healthcare applications and an understanding of ISO/medical regulations
