Dr. Byron Osing, PhD

PhD Chair and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Byron Osing, former President and Chief Executive Officer of Telebackup Systems Inc., was one of three founding shareholders responsible for driving the company’s success, leading to an acquisition by the largest USA data storage management software company, Veritas Software, Inc. The $202 million acquisition resulted in a $1.8 billion value for shareholders. Dr. Osing is also co-founder and former CEO and Chair of 180 Connect, Inc., a publicly traded technical services organization with over 4,500 employees. Dr. Osing has a BA in Psychology from the University of Lethbridge, and an MBA and a PhD in Marketing and New Enterprise Development from the University of Calgary. He is a recipient of the Ernst & Young “Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award” for the Prairies Region and “Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 Award.”


Dr. T. Chen Fong, MD, FRCP(C), FACR

Dr. Fong was formerly the Professor and Chair of the Department of Radiology, Faculty of Medicine of the University of Calgary. He has been the Regional Clinical Department Head of the Calgary Health Region. Currently, Dr. Fong is a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and operates a venture financing business focusing on medical devices. He is on the Board of four medical device companies, and is active on community and charity boards.


David Hallmen

Mr. Hallmen has 17 years of experience in senior management at growth-stage software companies, including both small and large market capitalization entrepreneurial software entities. Prior to joining ProClarity Inc. as Chief Operating Officer of Sales, Mr. Hallmen served as Vice President of Business Development at Veritas Software, Inc., where he was responsible for merger and acquisition activities, in-bound technology licensing, and divestitures and the integration of software platforms.


Bruce Meyer

Mr. Meyer has managed large sales and marketing teams beginning at Edmonton Telephones with over 60 sales professionals and annual budgets of over $30 million. He helped build MCK Telecommunications Inc. from a small Calgary company with annual sales of under $2 million to a Nasdaq-listed company with sales of over $40 million, in less than five years. As part of the Telebackup Systems Inc. team, Mr. Meyer was integral in the company’s sale to Veritas Software, Inc.
