Dr. Byron Osing, PhD

Chair and Chief Executive Officer

Dr. Byron Osing, former President and Chief Executive Officer of Telebackup Systems Inc., was one of three founding shareholders responsible for driving the company's success, leading to an acquisition by the largest USA data storage management software company, Veritas Software, Inc. The $202 million initial acquisition price resulted in a $1.8 billion value for shareholders. Dr. Osing is also co-founder and former CEO and Chair of 180 Connect, Inc., a publicly traded technical services organization with over 4,500 employees. Dr. Osing has a BA in Psychology from the University of Lethbridge, and an MBA and a PhD in Marketing and New Enterprise Development from the University of Calgary. He is a recipient of the Ernst & Young "Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year Award" for the Prairies Region and "Canada's Top 40 Under 40 Award."

Pierre Lemire

President & Chief Technology Officer

Mr. Lemire is former CTO of Autodesk Inc. Infrastructure Division, where he helped grow the business to a $200 million enterprise. Mr. Lemire previously managed Autodesk Development Canada, the world's leading supplier of advanced 2D and 3D design and project collaboration software. Mr. Lemire has over 15 years of experience leading engineering teams. He has a BS Honors degree in Computer Science from the University of Regina. In addition to his executive responsibilities, Mr. Lemire manages the Calgary Scientific patent portfolio. He was a contributor to the 2002 USA CTO Summit and has participated in panels for infrastructure mapping and GIS at URISA and GITA conferences.

Randy Rountree

Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing

Mr. Rountree is a former Senior Vice-President of Imaging Systems at Philips Medical Systems NA. During his 25-year tenure in sales and senior sales and marketing management, Rountree contributed to the divisional growth from $450 million dollars in annual revenues to over $3.5 billion. Rountree is a seasoned leader with an outstanding track record of growing revenues and profits by developing strong relationships with his customers and expanding market penetration. Rountree is an authority in the medical imaging technologies field.

Monroe Thomas

Vice President of Architecture

Mr. Thomas has a deep history in software development and has held leading roles at various technology companies. His expertise lies in architecting innovative software solutions and he has seen numerous companies through to success. His current initiatives have taken Calgary Scientific in new and profitable directions. Mr. Thomas holds a B.Sc with honours in Computing Science from the University of Alberta.

Glen Lehmann

Vice President of Research and Development

Mr. Lehmann's career has focused on the commercialization of innovative technologies in the medical device sector and healthcare information technology. He has been involved with numerous start-ups that have been acquired by companies such as GE Healthcare or have grown into successful private companies still in operation today. Mr. Lehmann participates in various industry standards committees through organizations such as Canada Health Infoway, HIMMS, DICOM and IHE. At Calgary Scientific Glen manages the R&D program as well as the IP portfolio. Mr. Lehmann holds an M.Sc. in Medical Biophysics from the University of Western Ontario.

John Marshall

Vice President of Global Software Sales

Mr. Marshall has been a senior executive in the healthcare imaging industry for 15 years, with previously held positions as a Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing at InfiMed Inc., and Senior Director of Global Sales at Cedara Software.  He consistently grew both organizations revenues and profits by bringing new and highly customizable imaging products to market, and putting a strong focus on developing the international marketplace.  Mr. Marshall has an outstanding record developing strong OEM relationships with various healthcare leaders and their organizations around the world, and then integrating those relationships with highly strategic global product plans and sales strategies that have resulted in consistent multi-million dollar revenue growth and increased profitability.  Marshall has a Masters in Business Administration from Empire State University of New York.
